We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tracy Dryden will succeed Laura Helminski as AFIT's learning partner and event coordinator. Tracy will officially join our staff on April 1 and will spend six months shadowing Laura, who has served in the role for the past 18 years, to learn the ins and outs of working with AFIT's learning partners and facilitating the learning design for Summer Institute. Laura plans to retire this fall, at which time Tracy will fully transition into the role.

Tracy is the executive director of planning and organizational excellence at Western Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This is her fourteenth year serving as the College's AFIT Rep, so she brings extensive knowledge of our organization's history and mission to the role.

"AFIT has been instrumental in propelling my own growth and development and that of Western Technical College," said Tracy. "As Laura retires, I feel this is my way of helping to ensure continuity of a great organization and to give back to the colleges and people that have been role models and innovators."

Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science in Art in Business from Viterbo University; a master's in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout; and a Doctor of Education in Leadership from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. In previous roles, Tracy was a teacher and also led the instructional design efforts at Western. Her experience in learning design and facilitation will help AFIT continue to develop Summer Institute programs that lead to growth, innovation, and transformation in our member colleges and organizations.

"Tracy brings great enthusiasm, experience, and skills to AFIT," said Executive Director John Politi. "As a Rep, she has been among the very best in that role. I'm confident she will add tremendous value to our team as we work together to bring the organization to even greater heights."

Tracy lives in La Crescent, Minnesota with her husband, Keith, and three young adult children—daughters Alex and Payton and son Mitchell. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, jewelry-making, and watching her family members compete in sports.

Please join us in welcoming Tracy to the AFIT team!
