AFIT Welcomes Dr. Christopher Matheny, President of Fox Valley Technical College

AFIT’s Executive Committee is so very pleased to welcome Dr. Christopher Matheny, President of Fox Valley Technical College to our alliance! Fox Valley was one of the founding member institutions of our Alliance. With Dr. Matheny’s membership all our original member institutions are now back in the fold. Dr. Kim Olson, Associate Vice President of College Effectiveness, will serve as FVTC’s rep.

“As we are finalizing our strategic plan for 2023-25, we recognize the need to look at our work differently; to further evolve as an innovative educational organization,” says Matheny. “We look forward to connecting with others in AFIT as a community of learning in order to gain insight into best practices and ideas to 'move the needle' for our College.”

Dr. Matheny took the helm of the FVTC in August 2021. Dr. Matheny received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from DePaul University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
