AFIT Welcomes Katherine Frank, Chancellor of University of Wisconsin-Stout
AFIT’s Executive Committee is pleased to announce the approval of institutional membership for Dr. Katherine Frank, Chancellor of University of Wisconsin-Stout. Kristi Krimpelbein, Head of Staff, will serve as AFIT Rep.
UW-Stout is the first and only 4-year institution to have received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (2001). Katherine was referred to us by AFIT member Sunem Beaton-Garcia, president of Chippewa Valley Technical College, and with the encouragement of her Wisconsin peer, Roger Stanford, decided to apply for membership
Upon joining our Alliance, Katherine expressed that as a polytechnic university, UW-Stout has a lot of synergies with two-year colleges and feels strongly that she and her team can gain a lot of value from AFIT membership while also bringing a lot of value to our organization. In fact, she and Sunem are slated to co-facilitate our August CEO Networking Session about building and strengthening partnerships between two-year and four-year institutions.
"We remain closely connected with Baldrige efforts and events, and are deeply committed to planning, assessment, and continuous improvement. We are very excited about the focus, programming, and professional development efforts through AFIT, as well as the possible networking and community-building opportunities.”
Please join us in welcoming Katherine and her rep to our Alliance!
