AFIT Welcomes Kristy Bishop, interim president of Westmoreland County Community College
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Kristy Bishop, interim president of Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC) in Youngwood, Pennsylvania as the newest member of the Alliance for Innovation & Transformation (AFIT).
Kristy was appointed as the College’s interim president following the departure of Dr. Tuesday Stanley, who led the College for a decade. Tuesday joined AFIT in 2019, and now the Westmoreland team will continue their engagement with us under Kristy’s leadership.
Kristy is already an active part of the AFIT community, having served as the College’s AFIT Rep in recent years. Megan Sheesley, executive director of the educational foundation, will now serve as Westmoreland’s AFIT Rep.
Additionally, Tuesday Stanley will remain engaged with AFIT, completing her term on the Executive Committee, which ends in December. Tuesday has taken on a new advisory role at WCCC and is currently serving as the interim president of the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges.
We are thrilled to celebrate these transitions and look forward to continuing innovating alongside Kristy, Tuesday, Megan, and the entire Westmoreland team!
