Welcome New Member Dr. Kristen Raney, President of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College

AFIT is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Kristen Raney, President of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC). Located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, NWTC was recently named a semifinalist for the prestigious 2025 Aspen Prize, which recognizes excellence in student outcomes. 

Kristen began her presidency in July 2023, championing technical education's transformative power and focusing on student success across NWTC's campuses and learning centers. She has over two decades of higher ed experience with extensive involvement in both academic and student affairs spheres. 

Previously, she served as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) and held various roles at Saint Paul College and Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC), implementing innovative programs and fostering academic excellence.  

Kristen holds a doctorate in higher education and leadership studies from Edgewood College, a Master of Science in education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from St. Cloud State University.
